Crafty Box: Brand Identity, Logo and Packaging for a Knitting Store

  • Brand Identity
  • Packaging Design

Crafty Box sells knitting kits online and wanted the brand to feel as cozy as the hobby itself. We designed a logo shaped like a yarn loop, a palette of yarn colors, packaging and a social media style.

The client

Crafty Box is a cozy online store for knitting enthusiasts: yarn, kits and everything needed to start a project, delivered to the door.

The brand foundation was set from the start:

  • Purpose: Crafty Box brings warmth, creativity and calm. More than yarn, it’s a gentle ritual.
  • Mission: Crafty Box makes creativity easy and joyful.
  • Vision: Crafty Box is more than a store, it’s a spark of joy and coziness.

Logo concept

The Crafty Box logo is soft, friendly and handmade in spirit. Rounded shapes suggest yarn loops, while clean lines keep it modern. The “o” in “box” becomes a ball of yarn with a knitting needle, and the same mark works on its own as an app icon.

Color palette

Four colors taken straight from the yarn basket, warm and natural enough for autumn photos and bright enough for a busy feed.

Typography and social media

Helony, an expressive display font with stylish curves, sets the headlines. Mazzard, a geometric grotesque, keeps body text clean. Together they shape the Instagram profile, highlights and post style.

Packaging

Yarn pouches in the four brand colors, each with a big yarn ball and the logo, plus an orange gift box for kits. One layout, many colors, so the whole range reads as a collection.

Simple illustrations explain how to start knitting in three steps: choose your kit, receive your order, and learn how to knit, easy as 1, 2, 3.

The result

A warm, memorable brand for an online knitting store. The yarn-loop logo, the yarn palette, packaging and social media now tell one story: bring your creations to life.

FAQ

  1. What does a brand identity for an online store include?

For Crafty Box it covered the logo and app icon, a four-color palette, two typefaces, a packaging system (yarn pouches and gift boxes), illustrations for the ordering steps and the Instagram style.

  2. How do you design packaging for a craft or hobby brand?

Make the product the hero and keep the system simple. Crafty Box pouches use one layout in four yarn colors with a big yarn ball on the front, so the range looks like a collection on the shelf and in photos.

  3. Why does the logo matter for a small e-commerce brand?

It shows up everywhere at small sizes: the browser tab, the app icon, the label on a pouch. Crafty Box's logo works as a full wordmark and as a simple yarn-loop icon.
